Andrea is originally from Ecuador, calling Smithers home since 2021. She brings with her 11 years of experience in public and private accounting practice. Mainly working for Ernst & Young EY, her experience includes external and internal audit, accounting, international tax, corporate compliance, and most recently internal control & anti-money laundry management for one of the largest Trust & Private Funds Management Company of Ecuador.
Andrea obtained a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Audit from the Salesian’s University of Ecuador, holds a certificate in Corporate Compliance Systems, and has a designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant by an IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) member in Ecuador.
Andrea’s role at the firm includes Xero Support Advisor, corporate year-end preparation, and audit services.
Andrea loves spending time exploring, going hiking, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and traveling around Canada with her family.
