Jeanne obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Northern BC and articled with Deloitte and a medium sized regional firm in Penticton BC. She received her CA designation in 2007, and started instructing for the CA education program. Jeanne then moved to Prince George and became the assistant controller of a national engineering firm, but her love for public practice took her back into a regional firm in Prince George and finally back to Smithers to join Edmison Mehr in 2013, and became a partner of the firm in January 2015.
Jeanne loves a range of accounting services including helping small business start ups, personal taxation issues and resolutions, sitting down with owner operators and analysing the overall health of their businesses including areas they excel in, and areas they can strive to excel in. Jeanne’s client base includes a large range of small and medium size businesses in industries including logging, farming, retail, food services and health. Audit is also a large focus of Jeanne’s practice varying from financial institutions to First Nations organizations.
Jeanne and her husband Lee and three young children can be found in the winter enjoying their ski cabin with their families, and in the summer spends her free time on the ocean in the Douglas Channel out of Kitimat. Jeanne also enjoys camping, curling and slo pitch.
